We need people (parents preferably) to work at the Kentucky Speedway on Thursday (7-7-11), Friday (7-8-11) &/or Saturday (7-9-11). We will leave from the HCHS auditorium parking lot at 5:30am and will return at about 8:00pm each day. We will travel by bus. Project Grad will get paid per person/hour. If you are willing and able to work one, or more, of these days, please email me at paula.barnett@harrison.kyschools.us

Project Grad Info and Update

Posted by Administrator in Uncategorized at 3:15 pm | Permanent Link

Our next Project Grad meeting is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 16 at 2:00 in the high school cafeteria.

Jello – Students may receive points for up to 4 boxes of Jello. Student may turn in more, but credit will only be given for 4. Up to this posting, students have received points for all boxes turned in, but this is now limited.

Grades – Students can bring me a copy of there report card, once report cards are issued for up to one week. Points will be awarded on the letter grade on the report record. They will not be weighed for AP classes.

Attendance – Students with perfect attendance need to hi-light this when they turn in their report record.

Volunteers needed – both students and parents – Saturday, Feb. 5, Champions for a Drug Free Harrison County will be hosting Saturday of Champions. This is a family fun day and there will be lots of activities, food, and prizes. We need people to help set up at 7:30 through clean up beginning at 2:00. Volunteers can sign up for shifts by contacting me or on the bulletin board outside my office.

Homecoming chaperones – Needed for Homecoming Dance on Friday, Feb. 4, following the basketball game. The dance will be in the cafeteria.

Another change…I hate to do this, but don’t know any other way of handling this. STUDENTS NOT SHOWING UP TO VOLUNTEER WHEN THEY HAVE SIGNED UP. This has become a huge issue. If a student signs up to volunteer and does not show up for their commitment, they will be docked that number of points from their account. I realize things come up and sometimes it can’t be avoided. I do not have a problem with this, but I do need to be notified prior to the time the student is signed up to work. SO…if you are signed up to work but turns out you can’t, just notify me and I can get it covered, no problem. If you are signed up to work and just don’t show up, you will be docked.

Approved fundraisers – The following fund raisers have been approved. If you signed up to organize one of these events, go with it…it’s yours
Magic Show
Motorcycle Run
5K/1mile fun run
3V3 basketball tournament
Highway clean-ups
Pizza Cards
Class of 2011 Cookbooks
Letter Campaign
Ken’s New Market
NCAA Brackets

Thanks,
Paula
