Poetry unit is now in full swing. Remember to keep up with poetry writing that we do in the class and Save, Save Save it in your notebook. Your poetry notebooks are tentatively due on March 20, however we have had a few delays and I will probably move that date to to March 23. I’ll keep you posted!

I am so proud of my TV Media students for winning an Oscar at the Keep it Real award ceremony on Wednesday in Lexington at the Kentucky Theatre!

During the month of April we will be studying poetry.  I will also assign a poetry book that will be due by May 13.  I know that sounds a long way off, but it will be here quicker than you think.  Be looking for your favorite poetry in many forms – lyrics, short stories, magazines, ads, journals, and even a grocery list!!!  Poetry is all around us.  Spring and poetry seem to go hand in hand.
