Mrs. Cunningham's Fabulous Fifth Grade Class

Permission slips went home today about our field trip. So, parents, please be looking for those. Permission slips and money needs to be sent back to school by Friday, May 4th.

I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break!

For the next few weeks before testing, we will be working really hard!! There will be LOTS of review going on, as well as some new material being presented. Good attendance will be extremely important!! Testing is from May 7-11 this year.

Easter party will be Friday, April 6th at 2:00!!

Spring pictures were sent home yesterday. Parents who want to purchase those should send in the order form and money as soon as possible.

Also, information about our fifth grade field trip was sent home yesterday. More details to come after spring break!!

Spring Break will be held April 9-13th!!

Reminder: Spring pictures will be taken tomorrow, March 9th. Also, students who got donations for “Jump Rope for Heart” will be participating in that activity tomorrow afternoon at 1:00.

The end of the third nine weeks is also tomorrow. Report cards will go home on Monday, March 19th.

Fifth graders will be participating in the music program here at Northside on March 1st at 7:00 pm. They will be playing their recorders. There will also be a book fair that night in the library. We are looking for a great crowd!!

Feb. 6th – Academic practice until 4:15.
Feb. 7th – Play practice until 4:15 and Reading tutoring, also until 4:15.
Feb. 8th – Berry tutoring.
Feb. 9th – 4H for all fifth graders! After school, there will be an academic scrimmage at 3:45 here at Northside.

Mid-terms will be going home on Thursday, February 2nd!!

Book orders are due on Friday, February 3rd, for those people who are interested in purchasing a book.

Our class WILL be having a valentine exchange on February 14th, but no party.

Spelling: Worksheet and study for test.
Reading: Test over “Stretching Ourselves” tomorrow.
Social Studies: Page 90 in Practice Book
Math: Page 92.

Events for the week:

Jan. 3 – Play practice after school, for those people who are in the play. Also, there is Math tutoring after school!

Jan. 4 – Berry Tutoring and STLP (group A)

Jan. 6 – Report cards go home!!
