The Derby Hats were fabulous!!! What an awesome job you all did. The kids had a big time racing their stick horses, AKA Mr. Matt’s brooms, around the infield of the track.
Week Thirty Five
What a week. Sorry I didn’t get a post out this week. Having a sick one at home threw me off. Week Thirty Six post will make up for it with pics from our Stick Horse Derby Day!
Week Thirty Four
The students had a great time at Disney on Ice last Friday.

Field Trip This Friday
Our field trip to Disney on Ice is this Friday. I will be sending home reminder for those students who said they would be bringing a lunch from home. It is really helpful if you can pack the lunch in something that can be thrown away. That is one less thing that must be kept up with on the trip. If students bought one of the tie-dyed Kindergarten t-shirts at the beginning of the year, students need to wear those Friday. If your child didn’t order one of the shirts, please have them wear a blue shirt. This makes it easier to keep up with the students. I do have 4 of the tie-dyed shirts that can be purchased for the original cost of $9. They will be on a first come, first served basis.
Week Thirty Two
Easter Egg Hunt
We only had 1 person bring in their Easter eggs for Friday. We will have an Easter egg hunt sometime on Friday, April 6. To make this a true hunt, please use the list of names on the back of this sheet. Write each name on an egg with a permanent marker. You can have your child do this to practice their handwriting. Do just a few a night and it won’t be overwhelming. Students will only be able to get the eggs with their name of them. This also ensures that everyone gets the same amount of eggs. We will be making a basket at school to put their eggs in. You may send your eggs to school whenever you get them ready. Please have students bring their eggs in by Thursday.

Easter Egg Hunt Since we have already had our 3 classroom parties this year, we will not be having an Easter party. However, weather permitting, we will have an Easter egg hunt sometime on Friday, April 6. To make this a true hunt, write each name on an egg with a permanent marker (the list was on the back of the weekly newsletter). You can have your child do this to practice their handwriting. Do just a few a night and it won’t be overwhelming. Students will only be able to get the eggs with their name of them. This also ensures that everyone gets the same amount.
Spelling Test We will have our first set of spelling words this week. I will send the list home Monday in the front pocket of the Fish Book. Please have students practice spelling these words each night. We will be working with these words each day in the classroom. Also, these are words we have had on our study guide at some point this year, so students should already be able to read and sound out these words.
