Known for her dedication, she gives her time and energy wherever needed, always putting the needs of the district, students, and staff first. Her support and encouragement inspire those around her, creating a positive and nurturing environment. Stacey is the ultimate “do-it-all” director, balancing countless responsibilities while making a lasting impact to the students she serves. Shelby Wright, the March Golden Horseshoe Award winner, represents dedication, selflessness, and hard work. As a passionate advisor and leader of FFA, she continuously pursues personal growth while inspiring those around her to do the same. Her leadership and encouragement have helped many students discover their potential within the organization. Beyond FFA, Shelby is deeply involved in her community and high school, where she teaches agriculture and consistently seeks ways to support others. Harrison County Schools congratulate our archery teams for their successful weekend of winning four state titles at the state tournament in Louisville on March 14-15.

This honor recognizes Mrs. Wiggins’ dedication to our students and school community. Her passion for nursing and love for children make her an exceptional leader, someone the students of Westside trust and depend on. As the academic team coach and Library/ Media Specialist at Eastside Elementary, she tirelessly encourages all students, never turning anyone away or doubting their potential. Her inspiring presence, calm demeanor, and positive attitude make her a true example for us all. Six HCMS Students make the KMEA Middle School All State Band
553 middle school students from 95 schools all over the state of Kentucky auditioned for a spot in the second Kentucky Music Educators Middle School All State Bands. 100 students were chosen for each ensemble from across the state. Harrison Co. Middle School students auditioned in January for a coveted seat in the top large ensembles in Kentucky. HCMS students Rylan Ross, Addlee Miles and Allen Soper made the Concert Band and Marymichael Gasser, Isaac Powers and Lillian Dunn made the Symphonic Band. Students performed for a standing room only audience at the Glema Mahr Center at 2:00 PM on March 8, 2025. They were fortunate to work with guest conductors Teresa J. Elliott, Concert Band and Darcy Vogt Williams, Symphonic Band. They are under the direction of Mrs. Julie Lucky.

Our bus drivers are the unsung heroes of Harrison County School District. Without the dedication and hard work of these drivers, many of our students would not make it to school and have access to the education they deserve.
